Stalking Beneath the Ice
Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus)*
As part of an assignment to create an educational exhibit about bears, this photograph was obtained at the San Diego Zoo. Although Jenny does not typically photograph animals in captivity, for the educational purposes of the exhibit it was important to include an image showing this behavior, and it would have been essentially impossible to obtain a photograph like this in the wild.
